Rob Edmonds
Being lucky enough to have been brought up in the heart of the Cairngorm National park has meant that I’ve been exposed to a multitude of outdoor pursuits, but I’ve always had a passion for ski touring. Having toured extensively around Scotland and the rest of Europe especially Norway, I have now made my passion for ski touring a life style, and I’m lucky enough along with my business partner who happens to be my wife to front up, a young and exciting business which is Mountain Spirit.
Angela Edmonds
As dynamic and focused in business as she is in the great out doors Angela has a passion for ski touring in the winter and hill walking, and trail running in the summer. She has good grounding of the ski industry having worked for several seasons on Cairngorm Mountain in charge of visitors service, so is used to dealing with all customers needs. Often seen burning the midnight oil in the shop she is the backbone to the business, which helps the daylight hours of trading run smoothly.
Steve English
With us from the very beginning, Steve has helped maintain the quality and high standards we are constantly striving to achieve with some seven years of retail experience under his belt. Having worked in South Wales as an outdoor instructor for several years, and gaining a quiver of qualifications in various outdoor pursuits he can give practical advice to customers of an array out door activities.
Rex Sircus
Rex is our newest member of the team, and brings a different dimension to the sales floor. He has a wealth of experience in all aspects of adventure sports, weather it be Cross Country Skiing, Ski Touring, Kayaking, Summer and Winter Mountaineering but to name a few of his passions.
He is also well travelled and conversing well in French, and fluent in Norwegian, having lived in Norway and having Norwegian parents, so for any of you out there looking for advice on where to Ski in Norway he’s your man.
Working as a Ranger for Cairngorm Mountain in his previous job, means that he also has intimate knowledge of the Cairngorms, and the surrounding area. Although he has limited but growing knowledge with regards to retailing we believe with his depth of experience and passion for the outdoors enables him to advise clients well from a practical sense on what they need for the Expedition, Climb, or simply a day in the Mountains.
A word of warning to you all though, don’t mention your interest in Cross Country Skiing to him in the shop, unless you have a spare afternoon. In the short time he has been with us it is clear to the rest of the staff that he lives, breathes, and loves it. In his spare time he coaches for our Local Cross Country and Biathlon Club putting something back into the sport he loves.
One thing we know for sure is Rex has loads of Mountain Spirit.
