Crispi NTN EVO

£430.00

For those who define performance in terms of the number of buckles, Crispi's NTN Evo should fit the bill with four all metal, micro adjustable alpine buckles plus a power strap.   Like all Crispi boots, the toe buckle is reversed for better leverage, whether clapping down or popping it open.   The instep buckle is the toothed strap type, providing solid heel retention thanks to excellent positioning, plus subtle flex so that your instep isn't crushed while skiing.   A carbon fibre weave embedded in the shell wraps around your hel for improved lateral stiffness.

*Mountain Spirit is not holding stock this winter season of this particular boot, however we would be happy to order these in for any customer looking to make the move to a Telemark/AT super-boot.

Backcountry Editor Reviews:

Adam Howard - "When combined with the inherent lateral strength of the NTN, the Evo rounds out a tele system that exudes power, or if you are in the mood to lock down your heels, for alpine too.   I concur with Howie that the flex of our test boot was smooth, although I did feel a bit of the old Crispi crunch on my toes.   Nothing painful but I could feel the back of the bellows collapsing, adding extra pressure on the metatarsals.   Other testers noted it as well, but again, the pain was only threatened, not experienced.   As the XR proves, stiffening up the bellows (as planned) should be the cure.   Even though it has a slightly higher cuff than the Scarpa NTN, it felt more comfortable."

Craig Dostie - "Frankly I've always felt the Crispi XR was too much boot.   Now, after skiing the Evo, I realise it was just too much boot for a conventional binding.   But while the Evo shares the XR cuff, the bellows is much softer, making this a nice, even flexing brawn boot.   It's taller and stiffer than the Scarpa NTN offering.   And with the innate edging power of the NTN binding it easily out-performs any power-boot on the market.   I also skied it on a Fritschi Freeride AT binding mounted on a G3 El Hombre and was floored by the sensitivity and control.   This could be the one telemark.AT super-boot."
