Ever popular this sport has seen a massive increase over the past decade, with many people transferring from their Alpine kit, to the more versatile equipment of Ski Mountaineering.
The gear has evolved at a rapid rate, allowing the skier to descend more extreme lines or indeed ski varied snow conditions from the big Powder to the hard pack there is now a ski for almost every snow condition.
More information can be found in this section showing our full range of skis, bindings, and of course boots. However on this page there should be enough to whet your appetite.

- Decide what type of performance you want from your kit, are you going to ski in the big Powder of the Canadian Rockies, the varied terrain of Scotland or are you looking for ultra light equipment to cover the ground as fast as possible.
- Try before you buy. We have a wide range of kit for Demo so why not test it out first the fit of a boot, the function of a binding, or the performance of a ski.
- Don’t base your buying decision on your two week holiday, but more around where you are most likely to be using it. In most good resorts around the world there’s a chance that you will be able to hire a more specialist ski for certain snow conditions.

This potentially is going to be one of your most important purchases, get the fit wrong and your feet will be the first to tell you, get it right and it's lot's of long and happy ski days. When choosing a pair of boots there are a few things you should take into consideration. Try to give yourself plenty of time, there is no point coming into the store and rushing, see if you can demo a pair of boots from our shop, try before you buy, come at the end of a day when you foot will often be at it largest, and try to come with an open mind, your may have your mind made up on a particular model of boot but it just might not be right for the shape of your foot.
Think out of the box, and don't be led by what the latest trend might be, but more about how the fit is. If you achieve the right fit then the only thing you will be concentrating on is you your technique, NOT the shooting pain running up your foot. So remember bring you feet, and a sense of humour and we will provide the expertise and the coffee.
